  • Objective: Subsidizes eligible seniors aged 65+ for private primary care (prevention, treatment, and rehab).
  • Amount & Cap: Annual amount of HK$2,000; cumulative limit of HK$8,000. Balance updates every Jan 1st.
  • Spouse Sharing: Once linked, you may use your spouse's balance if yours is exhausted (up to the service fee; Optometry quotas excluded).

Enrolled professionals in HK: Doctors, Dentists, CM Practitioners, Chiropractors, Nurses (RN/EN), PTs, OTs, Radiographers, Lab Technologists, Optometrists (Part I), Audiologists, Dietitians, Clinical Psychologists, and Speech Therapists.

Cannot be used for inpatient care, prepayments, day surgeries (e.g., cataracts), retail-only purchases (medicine/supplies), or non-enrolled providers. Generally excludes publicly subsidized services.

Goal:

RN home visit 1x/week + Remote follow-up 2x/week; Medication reconciliation & schedule; Weight/BP/Edema monitoring; sodium and fluid management (Referral to Dietitian 1x if needed)

Can I use a large amount of EHCV at once?

There is no single-transaction limit, but it cannot exceed the fee for that specific service session.

We recommend searching by profession and district using the official list: apps.hcv.gov.hk

Can EHCV be used for inpatient or pre-payment packages?

No (Inpatient / Pre-payment / Day surgery / Pure shopping are not applicable).
